Little Women

If you're not already familiar with The Little Women Hospitality Program, its  a wonderful two-year program that teaches "little women" practical skills.

Described at Behold Publications as
"A new Catholic program for ages 10 and up! This program teaches the virtue of hospitality through classic literature, spiritual insights, the Catholic faith, and hands-on experience. The girls earn charms as they learn new skills. A great follow-up and supplement to Little Flowers Girls' Club!"

I'm very excited to share this program we started last fall. When I was researching this program a couple of years ago I wasn't able to find a lot of information outside of the publisher's content. So I thought I'd log our journey here both for our memories and so that it might help others.

I want to first note that it's not necessary to have participated in Little Flowers to enjoy this program. While this program is described as a follow-up and supplement to Little Flowers, Maria and Anna have never attended Little Flowers and are loving the Little Women program. (When we first moved to this area I tried to take them to Little Flowers but all the hosts here were full. Time flies and now at ages 11, and 10, I thought it would be fun for them to move onto Little Women and they'll get an opportunity with their little sisters to see Little Flowers.)

Introduction
Taken directly from pages 5-6 of the Little Women Hospitality Program Teacher Manual.

The Little Women Hospitality Program is a unique Catholic girls program that teaches girls how to become young ladies. It will equip young girls with a love for the virtue of hospitality, an understanding of what it means to serve others, and a practical way, through everyday skills, to accomplish this.

More to come...
