Making Halloween.....

We are very big fans of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington sings "Making Christmas..." We sing..."Making Halloween"
Anyhow, we are so far behind in our posts I figured the least intimidating thing to do at this point is start and make our way backwards. So here's the cupcake scene the children created for Halloween, complete with Jack and Sally.

Our family is in the habit of going somewhere with the children on their birthdays rather than hosting a "friend" birthday party. We have a lot of family and very joyous celebrations so we more often than not take the kids on a "field trip" of their choice rather than trying to squeeze in another party. 

Joseph's birthday is coming up on the 21st of July and last night Daddy said, "Would you like to go somewhere special for your birthday?"

Joseph replied, "Yes, pillowpets.com"

O God of all creation, Please nurture and protect this baby and all babies. Keep them safe in the sanctuary of their mother’s womb.
As You wondrously and miraculously form their hearts, minds, lungs and souls, strengthen our will to lovingly nurture and protect them.
Give us the strength to shepherd them, the faith to defend them as Your children.
We ask this through the intercession of Mary, our Blessed Mother, and the mother of all the little ones, through Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.

This past weekend, Sunday, June 5, our daughters had the pleasure of dancing in the ballet Snow White. They had a super time and we are always thrilled to see their happy faces at show time!
